Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, no group health insurance contract issued by a health service corporation pursuant to the provisions of P.L.1985, c.236 (C.17:48E-1 et seq.), shall contain any provision which denies benefits for a preexisting condition to any person becoming a member of that group.
